Bring Back Windows Log off-Log on 'Sound' in Windows 8/8.1

Do the following steps to setup sound for your Windows 8/8.1




1. Press the 'Windows + R' button to open Run Command. Type in "Regedit" into it and click "OK." 

2. Click on "HKEY_Current_User," then on "Appevents," and then on "Eventlabels" in the Registry Editor window. 

3. Scroll down or directly press 'W' to reach "WindowsLogon," WindowsLogoff," and "SystemExit" and above of it. Click these one by one.

4. Double-click on "ExcludeFromCPL" in the screen up on the right.

5. Change the value under "Value data" from "1" to "0." Click "OK." Do the same thing for all three of the Windows logon, Windows logoff, and Systemexit selections.

6. Goto Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\PersonalizationWindows  and then select the "Sounds" tab. Select "Windowslogon," for example, and then change the sound of your choice under "Sounds" option. Click "Apply" then "OK" to change the sound. 


Precautions: 
Editing any registry values that you don't understand since this can affect your computer's operation.
